Freda Virginia (Aikens) Houser, 91, of Mayport, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at the Clarion Hospital.  She was born on June 17, 1925, in Clarion County to the late Lawrence and Mary Esther (Brumberg) Aikens.  Freda was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Milton Church in Dayton. Survivors include her sons, Walter L. Houser, of Dayton, William C. (Betty) Houser of Cowpens, South Carolina, Michael E. Houser of Ringgold, Tim W. (Marlene) Houser of Dayton and Douglas W. (Sandy) Houser of Mayville, New York; her daughters, LaVerna J. (Larry) Bish of Ringgold, Olive M. Schrengost[Shrecengost] of Panic, Wanda M. (Glen) Hess of Ringgold, Deborah J. (James) Hartman of Goheenville and Elaine B. (George) Jones of Yatesboro; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William T. Houser; her son, Bruce E. Houser; her daughter, Mary Jane Walker; her infant son, William Harry Houser; her infant daughter, Ethel A. Houser; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Paulette Houser.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, with Pastor Cub Jones officiating.  Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery in Templeton.
