MR. DONALD R. WARD
(1930-1988)
Newport News - Mr. Donald R. Ward, 57, died Sunday in Riverside Hospital.
He was born in Ashland, Ky., and has been a Peninsula resident for 15 years.
He was employed by Newport News Shipbuilding in Shipfitters Dept. X-11.
He was a member of the Poage Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M., Ashland.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary F. Ward; four sons, Maj. Jeffery Ward of Frankfurt, Germany and Phillip Ward, Donald Ward and Jonathan Ward, all of Newport News; his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Ward of Circleville, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Billie Osborne of Circleville; and one brother, Harry B. Ward of South Point, Ohio.
The body has been cremated.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Hospice Unit of Riverside Hospital.
Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge.
