Mr. Kezar
Elko - Hollis Smith Kezar, 87, died Wednesday in a local hospital after an extended illness. Services will be held Friday in Elko Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry. The Revs. Harold Moore and Eddie Braswill will officiate.
Mr. Kezar, a lifelong resident of Houston County, was a retired rural mail carrier and a farmer. He was a member of the Elko Baptist Church where he was a deacon emeritus, the American Legion, the Houston Masonic Lodge for 64 years, the Scottish Rite Foundation; and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was a World War I veteran.
Those surviving him include his wife, Sarah H. Kezar of Elko, one daughter, Louise Bembry of Elko; one niece, Carolyn Clark of Elko; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home of Perry is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kezar was inducted into the Army 4 Sep 1918 and released
12 Dec 1918.

Not sure why he is only listed as being survived by one child.

His parents were: Hollis Smith Kezar and Frances Letita Faulkner Kezar.
