Hazel Pearl Lingo Nesbitt, 61, of Brazoria, Texas, formerly of Orange, passed away Saturday at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. She was born in Orange to Lawrence Filmore and Essie Jewel (Mitchell) Lingo.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Elton Lingo and Lawrence F. Jr. "Cotton" Lingo and survived by her husband, James Nesbitt; one step daughter, Wendy Biela; one brother-in-law, Roger Nesbitt; two brothers, Vernon Lingo and David Lingo; four sisters, Vivian Lembo and Ethel LeBeouf, Edith Myers and Charlotte Tournear; two godchildren, Jayme and Lyndsey McKnight.
Funeral services at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. The Rev. W.W. Smith and the Rev. Henry L. Stevens will officiate. Interment at Davis Cemetery in Fawil, Texas.
Pallbearers; Jerry Jones, Roger Nesbitt, J.D. Hunsucker, Jerry Cockerham, James Mitchell, Robert Lingo, Galon Belair and Jimmy Doyle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the hospice of your choice.
