The obituary for Leonard Davis was published in the Sunday, October 10, 1993 edition of The Marshall News Messenger reported the following:

"Services for Mr. Leonard Davis, of 2502 Brumley Street, Marshall, will be noon Tuesday, October 12, 1993 at the Lewis Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J.W. Reeves officiating.

Burial will be at Motley Cemetery in Scottsville.

He died Friday, October 8, 1993, at his home of natural causes.

Mr. Davis was born in Lufkin, where he attended public schools. He was a retired farmer and a member of Christ Temple Church of Marshall.

He is survived by his, Mrs. Fannie Davis; a stepdaughter, Rosa Lee Cato, of Marshall; a sister, of Lufkin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A family hour will be observed on Monday, October 11 from 7-8 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home."
