Joseph, my gggrand uncle, is the son of Daniel Gooch and Nancy Sneed. He married Susan Bennett in Aug 1827 in Granville Co NC.

Joseph owned land along the North Fork and ran Gooch's Mill, which was passed down to his son Daniel Joseph Gooch (1846-1905).

Similar to his daughter's near by stone (Susan). A rectangular marble stone with a curved top and beveled sides. No ornate carvings. No foot
marker.
