!900 census revealed that John Q A was born May 1830, married in 1867, married for 33 years, John was a house painter. John has 5 children with his wife Eliza J and only 2 of them were still living at the time of the 1900 census. In previous census' he was listed as a carpenter.
Children listed in the 1800 census were William 16, Frank 12 ,and Birdie 2.
John was listed as an invalid before his death in the 1891 Pension survey. His name was mis represented as being John I. A. Boyd but looking at the actual record revealed that what they said was an I was actually a written Q.
From The Daily Notes, Canonsburg, PA Fri., March 21, 1905 , p. 8 says the J. D. France was appointed burgess of W. Middletown to take the place of J.Q.A. Boyd, deceased.
