Funeral service for Jackie Royce Barker, age 71, of Point, will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, in Emory, at First Assembly of God Church, in Emory. Bro. Montie Parker will officiate. Interment will follow in Dunbar Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, from 6:00--8:00 pm. Mr. Barker died at his residence on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015. He was born in Dallas, June 26, 1944, to Lester and Ruby Northcutt Barker. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Emory. Survivors include: Son: Joseph Michael Barker; Daughter: Angela Barker Carpenter; Grandchildren: several; Fiancee': Tressa Ragan; Numerous other loving family and friends; Preceded in death by: his parents; 1 sister, Peggy Campbell, 1 brother, Doyle Wayne Barker; and twin-sister, Mackie Joyce Lennon
