Pikeville -- Edgar Sterzer, 86, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005. Edgar served as a Marine captain in the Pacific during World War II. After the war, he worked as a sales executive for Drexel Drugs before opening his own pharmaceutical business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca.
He is survived by his two stepsons, Reese Jonathan Rogers, Dallas, Texas, and James Woods Rogers, Brisbane, Australia.
Services will be 1 p.m. CST Tuesday, March 15, at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial will be in Tollett Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. CST today at Pikeville Funeral Home. Arrangements by Pikeville Funeral Home, state Highway 30W.
