Mrs. Tennille was a native of Putnam County, had lived in Del Ray Beach and moved back to Lake Sinclair in 1988. She was the daughter of the late James Pearman Simmons and Flossie Heath Simmons; and preceded in death by her husband William Tennille, Sr.; sons, William Tennille, Jr., and David Harris Tennille. She worked in Real Estate, in the Admissions Department at GMC and retired from Georgia College at the age of 72. She was a member of Lake Country Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (William) Culver of Macon, Darylann (James "Billy) Gordon of Elko; sister, Jean Sumerlin of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Jonathan Tennille, Christina Tennille, Elijah Tennille, Ryan Campbell, Eric Campbell, Shane Gilbert, Jason Gilbert, Sheyna McCoy, Carey McCormack, Amanda Mochorius; and 17 great grand children.
