Carl Everett Crowder, 79, Veedersburg, passed away at his home in Veedersburg, on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at 6:00 a.m.

Carl was born in Elizabethtown, KY, on December 22, 1936. He later moved to Attica and attended school in Rob Roy and Attica.

Carl first began working for the Railroad and later worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company for 35 years. He also worked at C & D Battery, McDonalds and Seeger High School in maintenance. He worked privately for Johnny Myers and Josephine Cadwallader in Attica.

He had attended the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church and was a former member of the Eagles Lodge of Attica. He enjoyed watching wrestling and was a race fan. He also played the guitar.

On August 8, 1959, Carl married Margie L. Wilkinson in the church parsonage in Sterling, IN. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2012.

He leaves behind three daughters, Marletta (Keith) Hutson, West Lebanon; Loretta Crowder, Crawfordsville and Tonya Dow, Veedersburg; two sons, Ray Crowder, Williamsport and Rodger (Lisa) Crowder, Lafayette; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild; three nieces, Linda Doeden, Janet Beck and Denise Crowder. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ozina "Susie" Warner and a brother, James Crowder.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, August 11th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
