ALTON Robert Eugene Naugle, 61, died at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 31, 1941, in Harrisburg, he was a son of Helen R. (Bryant) Brooks of Godfrey and the late Gerald Naugle.

He married the former June Ayres March 31, 1962, in Alton. She survives.

The owner/operator of Holiday Marine Sales for 31 years, he was also retired from Laclede Steel.

Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Clayton and Sheryl Naugle of Moro; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Rocco Ameduri of Holiday Shores; two grandchildren, Tara Ameduri and Vincent Ameduri; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Harry Nevlin of Godfrey; and a brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Patricia Naugle of Queensland, Australia

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday. Revs. David Olson and Jeffrey Heil will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Raleigh.

The pallbearers will be Jim Kannall, Bob May, Dean Butler, Bud Evans, Chuck Simmons, Warren Eakers and Matt Schaefer.
