Ione Louise Sherer, 91, of Kirksville, MO, formerly of Burlington died at 7:18 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Twin Pines Nursing Home in Kirksville.
Born April 1, 1925, in Morning Sun, she was the daughter of William Erwin and Mary Louise (Vaughan) Finke. She married Lyle Wayne "Red" Sherer January 4, 1948 in Burlington and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1994. She graduated from Wyman High School.
Mrs. Sherer was a beautician and worked at Sylvania. She was a past member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and taking care of her grandkids.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Chance, one brother and three sisters.
