A native of Birmingham, England, he was a member of United Presbyterian Church here and of a number of civic and professional organizations in Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Van Arsdale Taylor; two daughters, Mrs. Herman L. Haynes, Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Clyde Peters, Harrodsburg; a son. Ernest William Taylor Jr., St. Paul, Minn., and seven grandchildren. The body was removed to Bruner and Sims Funeral Home.
