HARRODSBURG, Ky., April 12 (Special) - Ernest William Taylor, 82, retired civil engineer, died at 1 o'clock Tuesday after; noon at his home on East Lexington street here after a short illness.

He was employed by the Industrial Brown-Heist Corporation at Bay City, Mich., for 55 years and at the time of his retirement several years ago was its vice-president and engineer. .

A native of Birmingham, England, he was a member of United Presbyterian Church here and of a number of civic and professional organizations in Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Van Arsdale Taylor; two daughters, Mrs. Herman L. Haynes, Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Clyde Peters, Harrodsburg; a son. Ernest William Taylor Jr., St. Paul, Minn., and seven grandchildren. The body was removed to Bruner and Sims Funeral Home.
