Funeral services will be a solemn requiem high mass at 9:30 AM Thursday from Holy Trinity Cathedral. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation starts 2 PM Wednesday at Forster Funeral Home. Parish rosary will be 7:30 PM Wednesday, St. Elizabeth Society rosary at 7 PM at the funeral home and the Christian Mothers 4 PM Wednesday at the church.
The former Rosa Traurig was born Jan 25, 1883 in Lafayette Township to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Traurig. She was married May 27, 1902 to Roman Simmet in New Ulm. They farmed in Lafayette Township until 1938 when they retired to the New Ulm address.
Surviving are the husband and three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Cora) Roloff, Mrs. Anton (Sally) Bartl, and Mrs. Elden (Cleo) LeBert, all of New Ulm. One daughter preceded her in death. There are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
