William and Edward A. Brotemarkle owned Brotemarkle Brothers in Kansas City, Missouri in 1889-1891. It was located at Monroe lst N of 12th Street in Missouri. It was one of the largest grocery stores in Kansas City. William and his son, Ralph, sold the grocery store chain to Wolfermans. He and his wife retired to California, but he returned to Kansas City where he and Margaret are both buried.
