Funeral services for Jesse Marsh “Bo” Allen, Jr., 82, of Butler will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Butler with Rev. Ray Lane and Rev. Sam Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Cokes Chapel Cemetery in Ward.
Mr. Allen passed away Monday, August 8th at Choctaw General Hospital in Butler. He was retired from James River Corporation as Transportation Coordinator for the South East United States. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Allen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Butler for fifty-two years.
Survivors include his children Steve Allen (Beth) of Butler; daughter Amy Doggett (Greg) of Butler; four grandchildren Jess Wallace Allen, Margaret Haley Doggett, Gentry Lee Allen, and Abby Claire Allen; and sister Mary Catherine Hampton of York.
He was preceded in by his wife Dorothy Harwell Allen; and his parents Jesse Marsh Allen, Sr. and Lucille P. Allen.
