Born in Loverna, Saskatchewan Garnett was a son of the late James and Mary (Craig) Arthurs. Mr. Arthurs had been employed for many years as an agent with Imperial Oil, he was also a past member of the Masonic Lodge in St. Martin, N.B. and the Baptist Church in Blissville, N.B. Surviving besides his wife Flora are his sons Gerald W. and his wife Bernice of Mississauga, Ontario and Terrance J. and his wife Dorothy of Amherst, Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his sisters Mabel McLean of Saskatoon and Grace P. Smith (Horace) of Fredericton, N.B. along with 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
