William Merle "Bill" Frey, 78, of Mt. Pleasant (East Huntingdon Township), passed away at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born July 1, 1938, in Alverton, a son of the late Merle "Corp" Frey and Dorothy (Hafer) Frey Wicker. He married the former Beverly Jane Anderson on Nov. 29, 1959. Bill was a devoted family man and retired tool and die maker, last working at the former Modulus Corporation. He was a faithful member and lifetime elder at the Center Bethel Church of God at Alverton and a graduate of East Huntingdon High School, class of 1956. For many years, he served in the Army Reserves and took enjoyment sitting on his front porch and talking with his many friends.

Bill will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife of 56 years, Beverly Jane (Anderson) Frey; his three children, Kimberly Huff and her husband, Jeffery, of Scottdale, Beverly Dengler and her husband, David, of Hamburg, and William Frey and his wife, Kimberly, of Dawson; his eight grandchildren, Adam Huff and wife, Kimberly, Bradley Huff and fiancee, Sheena Howell, William Frey and fiancee, Kimberly, Erica Frey and friend Dave, Tyler Dengler, Angela Romesberg and husband, Joel, Melissa Jones and husband, Matthew, and Bailee Frey; his three great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Margaret Huff and William Frey; his special niece, Tammy (Bibby) Fry and husband, Milton; his sister, Connie Koch and husband, William, of Freedom; his two brothers, Bob Frey and wife, Penny, of Ohio, and Ron Frey and wife, Kathy, of Alverton; his 17 nieces and nephews; and his eight great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Dengler; his sister, Jean Frey; his infant brother, Raymond Frey; and his father and mother-in-law, Rogers Rea and Velma (Shields) Anderson.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (724-887-5300 / www.fergusonfunerals.com / GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Additional viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Lee Kline officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will be in Alverton Cemetery.
