RALEIGH, N.C. - Mr. Kenneth Charles Mauldin 93, entered into rest March 22, 2005 at Rex Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Race Lariscy officiating. Burial will follow at Ways Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Mauldin was retired from the U.S. Army as a Senior Master Sgt. Where he served in the 82 nd Airborne during World War 11. He received Three Purple Hearts and took part in the D-Day Invasion, also the invasion of Normandy. He was a gold medalist winner in the Senior Olympics.

He is preceded in death by his two wives, Mary Ellen Mauldin and Anne Mauldin, and two sons, Kenneth and Royce Mauldin.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford F. Mauldin and wife Sherry, Rhodhiss, N.C., Robert C. Mauldin Raleigh, N.C.; three daughters, Faye Howell, Tallahassee, Fla. Nadine Berry and husband Hiriam, Tallahassee, Fla., Mary Jane Burke husband Chuck, Augusta, Ga., two brothers Charlie Mauldin, North Wilkesboro, N.C., Clayton Mauldin, Ringold, Ga; one sister, Lavelle Hamell, Havre-DeGrace, MD; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
