J. Ford Johnson, 67, of 231 Coosawattee Ave, died Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Johnson was born December 3, 1912, in Moss Point, Miss., son of the late Thomas Ford Johnson and Annie Robinson Johnson. He had been a resident of Rome for 25 years, and during this time he had been employed as a master mechanic with Georgia Kraft Company, and prior to that was employed many years with Georgia Kraft of Macon. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a member of Mobile Masonic Lodge 40 F&AM.
Survived by one son, two daughters, two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Dr. Roger Martin officiating.
