Effie was a very sweet girl, and my father often told me that she died in Mt. Carmel Hospital, in Columbus (at that time "far" from home as it was a half day's drive by horse and buggy - but I think at that time for some reason the family actually lived in Columbus), singing hymns as she passed.
Effie died in the same hospital that my son was born in as was I, both years later. It was not the closest hospital for either my parents or Bill and me but it just worked out that way for us each to have one child born there.
