John Swan Lawson, Jr. was born in Scotland and was the son of John Swan Lawson, Sr. and Jeannie ??. They immigrated to the United States prior to 1910 and settled in Philadelphia. John, Jr. was first married to Mildred Myers (1905-1944) and they had an only son named John. After Mildred died, John married "Bettie" Clark and they eventually settled in Lake Park, Palm Beach County, Florida where he died.
