William Perry "Will" Winchester was born on November 6, 1893 in Lebanon, Tennessee, the son of William Pinkney "W P" Winchester (1856-1946) and Sarah Elizabeth (Cooper) Winchester (1852-1921). [It is noted that although his Death Certificate has his birth year as 1892, when he registered for the World War I Draft in 1917, he listed the year as 1893.]
He was married on August 12, 1910 in Henry County to Elizabeth I "Lizzie" Todd (1895– ), but sometime between the 1940 census and Will's death in 1954 they were divorced.
A farm laborer living in Ridgely, Tennessee, Will was 61 years old when he died at home on October 9, 1954, cause undetermined. Burial was the next day in Madie Cemetery at Ridgely.
