Carl Oldham Stockdale, age 95, a long-time Barton County farmer, passed away early Sunday morning, July 31, 2016, at Satori Residential Care in Arlington, Texas where he had moved to be near family.

Carl was born January 20, 1921 in rural Barton County to Hollis Carl and Gertrude Frances (Oldham) Stockdale. He was a 1938 Jasper High School graduate and a life-long area resident. On September 26, 1943, in Carthage, Missouri he married Mary Juanita Brasher and they made their home and farmed in Barton County for many years.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Marc Doosti; a granddaughter Zhana and husband Reagan Sanders; a great-grandson Jackson Sanders, all Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Joan and Earl Williamson, Independence, Missouri, Gay and Herbert Crisler, Willis, Texas and Dixie and Ronald Robinson, Cedar Creek, Missouri.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Juanita, and three sisters, Sue, Mary and Daisy.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2016 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm until service time, Friday at the funeral home.
