BRIGHAM CITY—John Baptiste Rentmelster, age 86, of 171 North 100 West, died Friday, April 10, 1987 in an Ogden hospital of causes incident to oge.
Born November 4, 1900 In Liege, Belgium, the son of John and Agatha Pleger Rentmeister. He was a construction worker.
Married Helen Owen May 12, 1925 In Son Bernadino, Calif. She died January 8, 1974. Married Edith Butler July, 1975 in Brigham City.
Moved to the U S., at (age) two with his parents. Lived in Winter Quarters, Utah. California, Texas, Arizona, Mexico, and resided in Brigham City since 1965
A member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. His Interests Included contributing to the Scholarship Fund In Malta, Idaho; Tremonton Museum Fund; and MIssionary Fund He was a Member of the Brigham LDS 7th Ward.
Survived by his widow, Brigham City; two step-sons, Raymond C. Butler, Bountiful; and John S Butler, Brigham City, and a step-daughter In-law, Mrs. Wayne ( JoAnn) Butler, Brigham City; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Bela (Josephine) Rigby, Burly, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 11 a.m, April 13th in the Olsen Myers Funeral Chapel, 205 South 1st East where friends may call Sunday, 3-5 p.m. and Monday, one hour prior to services Burial, Syracuse Utah Cemetery.
