ARMSTRONG, R .B., 81, of Shepherdsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice Unit. R. B. was born on October 4, 1925 in Bullitt County to the late William and Hazel Armstrong. He was a former postal carrier for the Shepherdsville Post Office where he worked for 35 years and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. His wife, Kathleen Armstrong, preceded him in death. He is survived by three children, Benjamin Armstrong of Phoenix, AZ, Bob Armstrong (Robin) of Louisville, and Kathy Magruder (William) of Jamestown; a brother, Maxie Armstrong (Nancy) of Shepherdsville; and three granddaughters, Laura Magruder Henry and Jessica Magruder, both of Lexington, and Katarina Armstrong of Louisville. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. His memorial gifts can be given to Hospice of Louisville.
