Lewisville, Texas — DORMAN L. CHASTEEN, age 88, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Medical Center of Lewisville.
Dorman was born May 15, 1921, in Duncan, Okla., to Columbus Clark and Donnie Mae Havens Chasteen. He married Betty Sue Chasteen on Feb. 5, 1946. She preceded him in death. Dorman served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marines, and was also a Mason.
He is survived by his sons, Dorman L. Chasteen, Jr., Larry Gale Chasteen, and Tom Lee Chasteen; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. They will receive their friends in Oklahoma at Grantham Funeral Home, 1502 N. Hwy 81, in Duncan, from 3-8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, and from 1-8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23, 2009. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Duncan.
