James C. Day, Sr., 66 years old, a native of Fleming County, died yesterday at his home on Clifton Avenue, as a result of a second stroke of paralysis. He had been an invalid for several years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Jane Doyle Day; four daughters, Miss Ethyl Myrtle Day, Mrs. Charles A. Welty and Mrs. Joseph Reffett, Paris, and Mrs. R. F. Benson of Louisville, and three sons, James and Marion Day, Paris, and Doyle Day, Winchester. - Louisville Courier-Journal 19 Sep 1929
