Valerie Marie Sullivan passed away November 22, 2006, in Oklahoma City at Baptist Hospital. She was born June 16, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Peggy and S.M. Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her mother and infant sister, Shirley Marie. Valerie is survived by her father, S.M. Sullivan of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jeffery Prather of Juneau, Alaska; Uncle Donald and Aunt Millie of Los Angeles, California; Aunt Nadine Barbee of Lubbock, Texas; Uncle Gerald and Aunt Jane of Tulsa; Aunt Midge Sullivan of Oklahoma City; and many cousins, Tresa Criswell of Oklahoma City, Lavonne and Fred Gothard of Lubbock, Texas; Pasty and Dan Norton of Sacramento, California and Brian Sullivan of Los Angeles, California. Due to the nature of her father's work, Valerie was schooled in many states, Florida, California, Oklahoma, and Illinois. Her four years of high school were at Mary Mount in California, Illinois, and London, England. Her college years were at Mary Mount Boarding School in Los Angeles, California. We appreciate and thank nurses Tracey Meyer and Amenda Quary at 901 CCU in Integris Baptist Hospital for their loving care of Valerie. We thank Dr. Donald Preuss and Dr. Matthew Britt who attended Valerie. Also, we appreciate Pastors Cheri Weaver and Rick Nichols of Crossings Community Church for their prayers, visits and attention. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma Cancer Society or Deaconess Hospital, in Oklahoma City, where Valerie was treated for a bi-polar condition. Services for Valerie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27th, at Bill Merritt's Memorial Chapel.
