Clara Mae Day, 86, of Waco, went to join her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

Graveside services will be 10 am Monday, Aug. 8, at Rosemound Cemetery with Jeanie Berry officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday, Aug. 7, at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Mae was born April 24, 1930 in Axtell, Texas to John and Clara (Tindell) Bayes. She loved working with children, doing word and search puzzles and playing wahoo with her nieces. She was a great cook and loved to feed everyone. One of her great loves was her spoiled animals, but her greatest love of all was her husband of 63 years, Sonny Day. You never saw one without the other. Mae never had children of her own but was a wonderful mom to many. She was a dear sweet, kind, loving lady, who loved the Lord and was a member of Sparks Memorial Church. Mae never complained even though her health was fading and her favorite saying was, “If you can’t forgive others, the Lord can’t forgive you”. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 sister; and 3 brothers.

Survivors include her sister, Opal Wade; her niece, Linda Schreiner and husband, Eddy; and many great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Chad Raines, David Jenkins, Ricky Vrba, Zack Vrba, Danny Raines and Steven Daniels.
