MRS. ANNIE HUGHES, wife of the late S. R. Hughes of Vicksburg, Mississippi and for 33 years a resident of Vicksburg, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Butterworth in East Falls Church, Virginia. Mrs. Hughes' body will be sent to Vicksburg, Mississippi for interment by the side of her husband.
Born in Liverpool in 1838, Mrs. Hughes moved to America 36 years ago. Making Vicksburg their residence, Mr. and Mrs. Hughes reared a large family. Mr. Hughes died seven years ago. Three years ago Mrs. Hughes went to Virginia to spend some time with her daughter and it was there the end came.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Butterworth, Mrs. William Spillings of 1821 Autumn Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, and Mrs. J A. Aiston of Liverpool, and two sons, S. R.
