Dottie Talley, 92, passed away August 1, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Dottie was born in Paris, TX to Robert and Leola (Hill) McElyea. She graduated from Sylvester High School as an honor graduate in 1943. She worked in Dallas, TX, during World War II in Security, sending and receiving government messages. She was married to her loving husband, Robert Talley, a World War II Vet, for 62 years.

Dottie was a dental tech. and received her certification from the University of North Carolina. She also worked at Fort Wolters, TX, during the Vietnam War.

Dottie was always active in church volunteer work and school activities.

Survivors include daughter Glenda and husband Larry Ditto of McAllen, TX, son Robert Kenneth Talley and wife Helen of Wichita Falls, three grandchildren, Brooks, Susan, and Chris, two great-grandchildren, Blake and Carley. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and four sisters.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
