LANE, Willene Sparkman Age 89. Died October 18, 2011 in Franklin, TN, formerly of Nashville, TN. Following a graveside service, she will be buried on October 21, 2011 beside other members of her family at Riverside Gardens Cemetery in Woodbury, TN. She lived most of her adult life in Nashville, TN, retiring from Metro Nashville Schools in 1987 where she was Secretary/Bookkeeper at Glencliff High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Nashville, TN and attended Brentwood Baptist Church after moving to Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Sudie Sparkman; siblings, L.B. Sparkman, Jr., Sue Hudgens and Anne Powell. She is survived by her children, J. Steven Lane (Barbara) of Dana Pt., CA and Suzanne Burtchaell (John) of Franklin, TN; two sisters, Ruth Walp and Reba Boyd; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren.... -- The Tennessean, 20 Oct. 2011.
