Hattie was the daughter of Henry and Alantha Lamb Lawrence of Canada and Vermont. She married Bert Bull on 19 September 1889 in Luther, Michigan. Hattie had a fifth grade education.

Reed City-Mrs. Carrie Harriette Bull, 72, resident of Luther since 1886, died at her home Saturday after a lingering illness. Born at Aurora, Illinois, February 22, 1868, she was married to Herbert Bull at Luther in 1888. Surviving are three sons, Harry, Gerald, and Bert, all of Luther. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the home with burial in East Ellsworth Cemetery.
