Jane Elsie (née Williams) Jones
Jane E Williams was born on 4 March 1918 in Ashland PA, to Elmer and Edith (née Terrill) Williams. She was a 1936 graduate of Hazleton High School and graduated from Methodist Hospital Nursing School in Philadelphia. She married Edgar L Jones in 1947.
Jane and Edgar raised their family in New Castle DE. She lived and worked in the Greater Wilmington area for 50 years. She was retired nurse from Wilmington General Hospital.
Jane moved to Hurricane WV to be closer in location to her daughter in her last years. Jane, age 84, passed away on 29 September 2002 at Putnam General Hospital (Hurricane WV), after a short illness.
Jane is survived by her son, Roger L Jones and his wife Louise C (née Talarowski) of Newark DE; her daughter, Terryll J (née Jones) and her husband, D Jack Hayslett of Hurricane WV; her grandchildren, Roger L Jones Jr and his wife Vanessa (née Walker) of Odessa DE, Felicia L Jones of Newark DE, and Jessica L (née Jones) and her husband David Williams of Bear DE, Andrew L Hayslett of Hurricane WV; and her brother, Raymond L Williams of Pine Grove PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L Jones and her brother, Elmer Lewis Williams.
A Graveside service was celebrated at the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Memorial Park, Milton WV. Interment immediately followed.
