Donald Albert Conley, age 94, died July 31, 2003 in El Cajon, California. He was born in Cleveland, Kansas on June 29, 1909. His parents were Edward and Gertrude (Stanley) Conley. He graduated from Kingman High School, Kingman, Kansas in 1927. He is preceded in death by his father Hess Edward Conley, who died suddenly of a heart attack at the family home located four miles northwest of Spivey, Kansas on April 3, 1936 and was buried in the Cleveland, Kansas Cemetery. He is also preceded in death by his mother who died December 30, 1967 and his brother, Stanley Conley who died April 30, 1994. After his father's death, Donald stayed on the family farm with his mother until she moved to California in 1939. He married Violet Smith on October 31, 1939 and in 1941 they moved to a farm near Sharon, Kansas. In 1944, they moved to California divorcing in 1946. Donald then married Alberta Griffin who died in 1983. Both he and Alberta are buried in El Cajon, California. Donald is survived by a sister-in-law, Wilma Conley, a niece, Terry Cizerle both of Girard, Kansas, as well as several other relatives and friends.
