"Sonny" as he was known in the family was the son of James William Greenhalgh and Margaret Agnes LaGrange.

He was raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts by his grandparents, Edward Michael LaGrange and Mary A. Flynn, and attended schools in the city.

He was the widower of Claire Walker, who died in 1997.

Sonny worked for over 30 years as a shipper and receiver for Ethan Allen furniture Company in North Andover, Massachusetts. Previous to that he worked for United Furniture in Lawrence. He liked to set up at the Grand View Flea Market in Derry.

When their children were young he and Claire were, for many years, active in the Cub Scouts in Salem, New Hampshire.

He was survived by 3 sons, James, Richard and Dennis and 1 daughter, Dianne and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
