Dovie passed away at the age of 98 years. She is a native of Jester, OK and a 75 year resident of Concord. Dovie had worked at the Concord Naval Weapons Station for 27 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Weaver Miles Slape (1997). Lovingly survived by her daughter Janet Coble of Concord, son Buddy Slape of TN, brothers Skip and Lavoy Byars both of Martinez, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Graveside services 10 a.m. Monday August 1, 2016 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Concord followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. Bethel Baptist Church, Concord.
