Alfred was the firstborn child of Dr. James M. Perrin and Temperance Gardner Perrin. He served nearly 4 years in the Confederate Army. He married Fannie Harbour in Franklin County, Texas on Feb. 21, 1877. They had 6 children, but only one, Virginia May, lived to adulthood. It is not known when he moved from Franklin Co. to Celeste in Hunt Co. He is buried next to his wife and 2 of his sons, Hope and Honor. We also believe that his daughter May Perrin Jones is buried near her parents, but there is no stone and burial records have been lost.
