Corine Faye Haun Froehlich
1923-2016
Corine Faye Haun Froehlich, met her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2016, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. We rejoice in the blessing of her 92 years. Corine was born in Meyersville, Texas on August 12, 1923 to the late Adolph Haun and Bertha Ideus Haun. She married Marvin Albert Froehlich on January 20, 1946.
Corine loved serving her Lord, the Bammel Forest Garden Club, and playing bridge with her friends in Meyersville. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Victoria, TX and participated in the Lutheran Women's Mission League. She was a member Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston, TX, the LWML Dorcas Circle, the Sewing Circle, and her Traveling Group.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ellis, Johnny and Norvan Haun, her husband, Marvin Froehlich, her son Rodney Froehlich, her daughter Donna Froehlich Randle, and her step-son Albert "Buddy" Froehlich.
She is survived by her son, Randy Froehlich and wife Kim, daughter-in-law Doris Fay Froehlich, son-in-law Richard Randle and step-son Herman Charles Froehlich and wife Martha; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Houston, TX on Thursday, August 4, at 10:00 am. Internment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery on I-45. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Heights Funeral Home, Houston, TX. A memorial service will also be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday, August 5 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Victoria, TX.
