In May of 1904, Carl Lindee graduated from Nichols (Iowa) High School. On June 23, 1914, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, he married Vera M. Coleman who was born on April 1, 1889, in Sully County, South Dakota. Chicago would be home for Carl and Vera for the rest of their lives. They would have two children, Louise Isabel Lindee Burger (1917-1990) and Carl Frederick Lindee Jr. (1922-1982), who would survive the deaths of both of their parents. Vera Coleman Lindee died in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, on May 15, 1949.
