Marion Robert Brewer, age 90, of Cottondale, died July 30, 2016, at Hospice Care Center, in Wilmington, N.C.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Martin, Reverend William Noe, and Reverend Lawrence Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henley Brewer, and mother, Ida Brewer; brothers, Mack Brewer and Robert Brewer; sisters, Louise Edmonds and Bertha Owens.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelia Brewer of Wilmington, N.C.; sons, Lawrence Brewer of Wilmington, N.C., Robbie Brewer and Danny Brewer of Cottondale; sisters, Carrie Reed and Geraldine Barger of Cottondale; brother, William Earwood of Duncanville; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Marion served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Central Foundry, Southeastern Steel Fabicators, and Pullman Standard. Most of his life was spent in Cottondale as a business man.
He also had a private pilot license, and served with the American Legion and VFW.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Brewer, Jeff Brewer, Jon Brewer, Garrett Brewer, Justin Brewer and Jordan Brewer.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Daniel Dawson, Silver Stream Rehab Center nursing staff, Hospice Care Center, all of Wilmington, N.C.
