Lisa Betty Crick (Gumtow) passed away Wednesday January 20, 2016 in Bastrop, Texas. She was born in Trenton, Michigan on February 24, 1954 to Harold and Betty Gumtow. She married Gene Crick, the love of her life, on July 27, 1985. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed travel and many adventures together. Lisa worked at the Texas Workforce as a case manager, and throughout her long career helped hundreds of people obtain meaningful employment and brought joy and laughter to their lives. She was a long-term Board member for Bastrop Public Library, Literacy Volunteers of Bastrop and various pet organizations. She loved spending time with her family and friends, whom she adored. She was a lover of life, pets and adventure, and could put a smile on anyone’s face.

She is survived by her loving husband, parents, brothers Jeff, Paul (Mary) and Glen (Karen) Gumtow. Family members also include nephews Steve, Eric (Katelyn), Jon, Dan and Andy Gumtow – Niece Katelin (Jeff) Shoemaker – great nephews and nieces Mallory, Kyle, Kepler and Ella Gumtow – Goddaughters –Elizabeth Littleton and Emily Ashlock.

A Memorial Celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at McKinney Roughs Nature Park, February 6 from 1 to 4 (service at 1:30).
