Daphyne Lucile (Carr) Clark was born to George and Josephine (Dillon) Carr on October 7, 1935 in Springview, Nebraska, the youngest of seven children. She passed away July 21, 2016 at her home in Ainsworth, Nebraska at the age of 80 years, nine months and 14 days. Daphyne graduated from Keya Paha County High School in Springview in 1953. She was united in marriage to William E. Clark II on August 26, 1953 at Winner, South Dakota. To this union four children were born, Rhonda-1954, Randi-1956, Jacki-1958 and Little Bill-1960.

Daphyne taught school for several years and worked side-by-side with Bill on their ranch near Springview. She worked as a clerk for many years, working with the public. Daphyne was a member of Springview American Legion Auxiliary Post #98, the Springview Golf Club, and also Ainsworth Does Drove #54.

She was always willing to lend a helping hand and she and Bill loved traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren.

Daphyne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. Clark II; son, William E. Clark III; a granddaughter, Nealei Buechle; four sisters, Elayne Castillo, Ethelda Blake, Betty Barngrover and Pauline Lehn. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Gene) Buechle of Johnstown, Nebraska, Randi (Jim) Stucker of Elm Creek, Nebraska and Jacki (Lance) Larsen of Cottonwood, California; a brother, Garth "Buck" (Doris) Carr of Springview; sister, Josephine (Harold) Prentice of Norfolk, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, Billy Buechle of Cottonwood, California, Wade Buechle and Beau Buechle of Johnstown, Naren (Kelly) Welch of Zebulon, North Carolina, Ryan Stucker of Kearney, Nebraska, Cameron Graff and Spencer Larsen of Redding, California and Nichole (Mike) Dugas of Jacksonville, Florida along with seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Mary Clark of Ainsworth, Arlene Gierau of Springview and Doris Sladek of Omaha, Nebraska; and two brothers-in-law, Garner Clark of Wood River, Nebraska and Jack (Sheryl) Clark of Gregory, South Dakota; along with nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth, with Pastor Mick Thornton officiating at the service. Music was provided by Joe McBride singing the selections of "Beyond The Sunset" and "Life Ain't Always Beautiful" and "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife." Spencer Larsen gave the Eulogy. Pallbearers were: Billy Buechle, Wade Buechle, Beau Buechle, Naren Welch, Ryan Stucker, Cameron Graff, Spencer Larsen, Nikki Dugas and Marcus Sears. Honorary Bearers were All of Daphyne's other Great-Grandchildren. Organizational Rites were conducted by Ainsworth Does Drove #54. Burial followed at the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Springview. In lieu of flowers, memorials were suggested to the family in her name.
