"Plainview -- Memorial services for Edwin Pittack, 78, Plainview, were Monday at Zion Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Dan Deardoff officiated." "He died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at Peoria, Ariz. The son of Earnest and Hulda Pittack was born Feb. 17, 1922, at Meadow Grove." "He grew up on a farm south of Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1939. He went to Buffalo, N.Y., where he worked at a defense plant. He returned to Nebraska and was a truck driver for four years before beginning employment with Huey Motors in 1948.

On Nov. 25, 1949, he married Winetta Reigle at Fairbury. He continued working for Huey Motors until 1957, when he purchased the Ford dealership with his brother, Hap. In 1969, they sold the business, but Mr. Pittack continued working in the automobile business part time for E.M. Motors in Pierce until retiring. The couple lived in Surprise, Ariz., during the winter months after retirement." He was survived by his wife, 1 son and his wife, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.
