Mrs. Mary J. Warnock, aged 61 died at her home in Aledo Saturday afternoon, after a long illness of a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Warnock was well known in Mercer and Rock Island counties, having been born near Coal Valley. She was born on Jan. 2, 1859. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bailey, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 14, 1882, she was married to Hugh Warnock, and to this union there were born four children, as follows: Dr. W. W. Warnock of Aledo, J. C. Warnock and Frank B. Warnock, also of this city, and Mrs. Cora Braehmer of Davenport, and two grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Clegg and Mrs. Alice Pritchard of Rock Island and Mrs. Anna M. Johnson of Aledo, and two brothers, Robert J. Bailey of Moline and I. J. Bailey of near Coal Valley.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home in this city. Rev. J. C. Warnock of Coal Valley officiated, assisted by Dr. A. Judson Arrick, of Aledo. Interment was in the Aledo cemetery.
