George M. Benish, 71, died March 1, 1995, at his Kinsley home. He was born Nov. 11, 1923, at Offerle, the son of Albert and Cecelia Hatrup Benish.

A Kinsley resident since 1988, moving from Offerle, he was a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Offerle, the National Rifle Association and the Farmers Union.

On June 10, 1958, he married Esther Irene (Kisner) Dunn at Offerle. She died Sept. 10, 1979. On Nov. 20, 1982, he married Mildred Whitmer at Offerle. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Donald Albert, Irving, Texas, and Leonard John, Offerle; three stepsons, Robert Hale Dunn, Korea, David Eugene Dunn, Hays, and Ray Whitmer, Elkhart; a stepdaughter, Sharon Welsh, Concord, Ark.; two brothers, William H., Offerle, and John, Spearville; two sisters, Alberta Schmidt, Wichita, and Clara Perini, Denver, Cob.; seven grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and 10 step-greatgrandchildren.

Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley, and at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Offerle. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with Father Bill Vogel presiding. Burial will be in the Old St. Joseph Cemetery, Bellefont.

Memorials may be sent to Southwest Hospice or to the church, both in care of the funeral home.
