Mrs. Bertha Lusk Duff, 75, of 1606 Clay Ave., died yesterday in a local hospital following a long illness. Death was contributed to cancer. She was the wife of Dr. John W. Duff. Mrs. Duff was a native of Baileysville, Wyoming County, and had been a Charleston resident for the past 40 years.
She was a member of the Glenwood Presbyterian Church.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Thelma VanWinkle, Mrs. Lessie Burdette and Mrs. Delta Smith, all of Charleston; four sons, Dr. W. W. Duff of Elkview, Dr. John W. Duff Jr., of Dunbar, Eugene D. Duff and City Councilman, F. O'Dair Duff both of Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Lester of North Springs and Mrs. Ella Greene of Charleston; two brothers, Estil and Otis Lusk, both of Baileysville; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.The Long-Johnson and Fisher mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. mortuary chapel with the Rev. J. W. Carpenter, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church at Dunbar, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park at Dunbar.
