Donna Sweeney, age 60 of Huffman, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Lafayette, Louisiana surrounded by her family.
Donna was a very special person she was a great mom. I use to watch her dress her girls and I know how much she loved her kids. She went above and beyond and never thought of herself. Donna loved her husband Dan more than any one man ever deserves she was the greatest wife any man could have asked for.The best sister in this world. My big sister my friend.
Memorial services will be at 2pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Donna was born on February 18, 1956 in Pasadena, Texas.
She was a loving mother of five children and ten grandchildren. Donna enjoyed singing and dancing with her family and special trips to the gator farm.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband Dan Sweeney and her parents, Emma Jane Fuller and Cyril James Holder, two brothers, Lilon (Bubba) Holder and Raymond Holder.
Survivors include her son, Brian Holder of Duson, Louisiana, four daughters, Jamie Holder of Duson, Louisiana, Nicole Holder and her husband Johnathan of Duson, Louisiana, Kristin West and her husband Leonard of Orange, Texas and RaeDonna Mettey and her husband Lee of Orange, Texas, her two sisters, Sandra Whitten and Sondra Sweeney, both of Huffman, Texas, ten grandchildren, Meghan Holder, Brianna Holder, Caleb Holder, Sheyanne Holder, Alexis Stotland, Kaitlyn West, Colton West, Emma Mettey, Justin Mettey and Abby Mettey.
